Questions answered:
Blanca:
What’s the best way to charge for CA or site supervision during build?
James:
How do I justify hourly rate fees for a contract administration stage? The contract administration stage may start 1 year after the client/architect contract is signed and finish 2 or 2.5 years after a client contract is signed and run a further 12 months for a defects period. Trying to flip between fixed fees for earlier design stages to hourly rates for administration stages is often treated with a lot of suspicions by clients.
Christine:
How do I know what to charge?
Stephen:
How do I compete against lower priced competition?
Richard:
How should I address clients who don’t pay on time … or don’t pay?
Annabelle:
What is a fair hourly rate?
Niall:
How do you get clients to produce a properly coordinated and detailed project brief to enable all consultants to establish what is required by the client and which can be priced up by each consultant in the knowledge that they are competing on a level playing field.?
Eva:
Could you please list the two sources mentioned in relations to question for “how to know what fee to charge”?
